Judo South Africa is proud to host the Cadet and Junior Cup and Senior Open from 26–28 June 2026 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The event will bring together some of Africa’s top emerging and elite judoka for three days of high-level international competition, sportsmanship, and development on the tatami. Athletes, coaches, officials, and supporters from across the continent are set to unite in celebration of judo excellence and the growth of the sport in Africa.

The Botswana Judo Federation informs all stakeholders that the previously postponed tournament is now back on schedule. Following the earlier postponement, the competition will proceed on the confirmed date and we look forward to hosting athletes as we continue to develop future champions.

Team Botswana took to the continental stage in Nairobi with courage, determination and pride 💪🏾🔥

While the results didn’t fully go our way, every fight reflected growth, resilience and improving technical strength from our athletes. This is part of the journey and we’re building with every match. It all ended with Botswana placing 21st in all 39 countries
