More Than the Fight
One weeks later, and Iโm finally finding the words for my Commonwealth Games experience. ๐ง๐ผ๐ฅ
This one didnโt go the way I had hoped. I lost my first and only fight, and just like that, my competition came to an end. It hurts, because I know how much work, sacrifice and belief went into getting there. But Iโve also learned that not every chapter is measured by how far you go in the competition.
Beyond the ring, I had an incredible time.
I met people from different corners of the world, shared stories, laughed, learned, and walked away with friendships I genuinely hope will last a lifetime. I got to experience a beautiful country, its people, its culture and, of course, its food. โค๏ธ
I may not have brought home a medal this time, but Iโm coming home with memories, lessons, connections and a heart full of gratitude.
Representing Botswana at my third Commonwealth Games will always be something Iโm proud of. ๐ง๐ผ
To everyone who supported me, believed in me, checked in, cheered for me and stood behind me โ thank you. Your love reached me all the way there.
This chapter didn't end the way I wanted it to, but itโs still a chapter Iโm grateful I got to live.
Until the next fight. ๐ฅ๐ง๐ผโค๏ธ
