Disability sports is slowly becoming mainstream. The concept of SESAD recreational park revolved around development of para-sport in Botswana. And the efforts we see, makes happy.

The 2022 International Day for people with disabilities should be a day of deep reflections. Where Botswana is as a country, if we apply ourselves well, the next two years could bring massive paradigm shift. We can wholeheartedly decide incorporate disability rights in the development agenda. We can develop a master strategy that will see Botswana being fully inclusive..... But again, we can just have this day as one of those days that we gather, sing, talk, eat and disperse, then meet again in 2024 for the same.

What's the mood, how is the energy, our we 'vibing' for a complete turn around strategy or we are just dragging our feet's in.

1. Botswana has just acceded to the UNCRPD
2. Botswana has adopted the Revised National Disability Policy of 2021. It's time to implement
3. Planning and development of NDP 12 will be starting in a year to 2 years time
4. General elections are coming in 2024, so parties will be developing their election manifestos soon. This is the best time to put our issues across.
