Introduction of our Female Team
🇧🇿Nathalie Lovell🇨🇭
At 27 years old, Nathalie Lovell is not only a proud mother of two and wife to known cyclist Giovanni Lovell—she's also carving her own path in Belizean cycling.
Born in Switzerland, Nathalie moved to Belize in her early teens alongside her parents and siblings. In 2016, she was introduced to cycling by her husband. Starting off on a mountain bike, she later upgraded to her first race bike that same year. Between 2016 and 2020, cycling remained a way to stay fit while she focused on her academic goals.
It wasn’t until 2021 that Nathalie started participating in local races, quickly making a name for herself by capturing several wins. By 2022, she decided to take cycling more seriously and entered her first major event, the Belmopan Classic, where she impressively secured a 3rd place finish.
Though she stepped away from racing in 2023 due to work and family commitments, Nathalie returned stronger in 2024. With consistent training, she delivered standout performances:
2nd Overall in the Digi Valentine’s Tour
3rd in the Alfred Parks Classic
2nd in the Belmopan Classic
2nd in the Pickstock Crit
To date, Nathalie has competed in two Cross Country races. After the 2024 edition, she took a short break as she was expecting her second child.
Now, in 2025, she's back in the saddle and ready to hit the race scene again. With renewed determination and the support of her teammates—Gina, Francine, and Gabrielle—Nathalie is eager to push limits and “burn some chests” on the road.

Introduction of our Female Team
🇧🇿Dr. Gabrielle Lovell🇧🇿
Dr. Gabrielle B.K. Lovell’s story is one of resilience, passion, and dedication, both in the world of competitive cycling and in her medical career. Born in Belize City on October 13, 1987, she is the fourth of eight children to Alicia and George Lovell. Growing up in a family deeply involved in cycling, with her siblings Gina, George, and Gregory all being avid cyclists themselves, it’s no surprise that Gabrielle found her way into the sport.
Starting her competitive cycling career in March 2005 at just 17 years old, she quickly made her mark. Within two weeks of joining the competitive scene, she placed 3rd in the National Road Championship road race. In the same year, she went on to win the female M & M Tour and earned second place in the Labor Day Classic. Her tenacity and competitive spirit were evident as she secured 3rd place in the Queen of the Hills, competing against notable cyclists.
Though her cycling career was somewhat limited due to her medical studies, Dr. Lovell continued to make an impact in the sport. Throughout her six years of medical school, she managed to place in the top positions of the Krem New Year’s Classic multiple times, earning 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places. Even after completing her medical training, she didn’t leave cycling behind entirely. She participated in five Cross Country races after medical school, with her last one taking place in 2022.
In addition to her achievements on the bike, Dr. Lovell has a clear purpose that drives her: promoting wellness and health, particularly among those with underlying health issues. As someone who has witnessed the challenges of living with Type 1 Diabetes, she aims to inspire individuals, especially those dealing with chronic conditions, to live active, healthy lives. Her story is a testament to the power of perseverance, passion for fitness, and the importance of advocating for health and wellness in the community.

Just five months later, in August 2024, Francine competed in her first race and impressively secured 2nd place overall. Determined and focused, she continued to train rigorously throughout the year.
