The Belize Cycling Association was founded on March 10th, 1928 with the inception of the Annual Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic, which is the longest running cycling race in the Western Hemisphere. The Cycling Federation of Belize would like to congratulate Chavarria Derrick and Jaylen Briceno on their outstanding performance today in the Clasica Azuero 2.2 UCI America Tour - Panama. This was a race against continental teams on this part of the world.

Chavarria Derrick placed 🥉 in today race, while Jaylen Briceno placed 🥉overall in the U23 Category.

TEAM Belize did a great job as this is our first of other UCI Sanctioned races we plan on attending on our Road to LA2028

Team Belize did a great job today in Stage 1 of Clasica Azuero. We go in tomorrow holding the third spot on the U23 Podium. Our Team is ranked 8th in the Tour.

Let's continue to cheer on our boys as they continue to battle among the continental pros in the event. Thank for the great work today Team. Thanks to Jack for taking on the task with the Team.

Join us in wishing Team Belize all the best as they take on Stage 1 of the UCI America Tour Panama - Clasica Azuero. This is a 2.2 UCI event. The event will be 110 km with a 390m finish on top of Las Minas.

Our boys are ready to take the challenge to showcase the best of Belize Cycling. 🇧🇿🇧🇿🇧🇿🇧🇿🚴🚴🚴

Three of our athletes completed today's event with Derrick earning 5th place. Carlton Robinson placed 43, while Dylan Levy finished 53rd. All other riders did not finished due to multiple flats during the race.
