Placencia Sailing Club held their annual regatta over this past weekend which was well supported with sailors, volunteers, support boats and sponsors.
On Saturday the wind came in from the Southeast finally fixing just South of East and building to about 10 knots. This gave the fleet lively seas whilst allowing the Optimist and Laser fleets to complete their scheduled 4 races.
On Sunday wind started from the Northeast and moved around to the East. After making some final adjustments to the course each fleet completed their remaining 2 races of the regatta.
Congratulations to all Sailors!!!!

Today marks an occasion to acknowledge the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of women in Belize and around the world. We wish to express particular appreciation for the outstanding women and girls whose contributions are shaping the future of sailing in our nation.
From our young sailors discovering the sea for the first time to the dedicated women who lead, coach, and compete in our sport, your passion continues to inspire us all. May we keep creating opportunities, breaking barriers, and empowering the next generation to sail further and dream bigger.
