The first Judo school in Caye Caulker has been thriving for seven months and counting.
In October, the young Judokas will undergo testing and have the opportunity for promotions.
Judo kids undergo testing every 6 to 8 months and receive belt stripes every 2 months or as deemed appropriate by their instructor.

Belize wins two bronze medals in Guatemalan Judo Invitational National Championship
By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize won two bronze medals in the Guatemalan Judo Invitational Championship held in Mazatenango over the weekend.
According to Judo Belize Federation president Remus Betancourt, four Belizean judokas, namely Juan Card, Ismael Castro, Leonardo Awayo, and Shyheim Tablada participated as invited guests along with Guatemalan, Salvadoran, and Honduran athletes.
While all four advanced to the medal rounds, Card and Castro captured bronze medals.
Betancourt said the team won 10 out of 16 matches.
