Ultimate Sapphire Dance Company was founded in December of 2015 to provide opportunities for youths to receive extensive dance training while also learning the value of discipline, commitment, and teamwork in the Corozal District Our dynamic energy shines through with our large repertoire of dance including contemporary, Afro Caribbean, Belizean Folklore, Latin, contemporary/lyrical, urban dance,
and funk jazz. Since its inception in 2015, the company has been entertaining audiences locally, nationally, and internationally. The quality of performance and level of involvement in these events has allowed USDC to establish a distinguished name for itself. The commitment to excellence in dance has given USDC the opportunity to present in a number of events. USDC has participated in both Corozal and Orange Walk's Christmas Parades and Carnivals, the Orange Walk Forward Movements Street Festival, Corozal's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies, Corozal Soca Fete, Corozal's Miss Carnival Queen Pageant and Queen of the Bay, Carnival Calabar in Nigeria, Africa and Carnaval in Chetumal, Mexico. These events have given the company a global view of culture, art, music, and life. This project has been a labour of love that Choreographer, Victor Casanova, envisioned. Victor, with the support of Joanna Magana, members of the dance company, parents, and business community has been able to break barriers and raise the bar. His creativity, passion, and artistry can be appreciated in the choreography, conceptualization, and costuming featured by the dance company.
