🌴 Hawaii Beach continues to show its natural beauty. The estuary is naturally closing up, creating a peaceful view where the calm crystal clear water meets the Caribbean Sea.

The small amount of sargassum is fading day by day, while the beautiful coconut trees planted by villagers are growing and blooming nicely, adding even more life to the area.

A beautiful reminder of what community pride and nature can create together. 💛⚪️🖤🌊🌴

The people of Hopkins and surrounding communities are invited to participate in an important consultation on the future of our marine resources and livelihoods.

This session will focus on the expansion of Biodiversity Protection Zones in Belize, and how these decisions may impact fishers, community members, and Indigenous Garifuna rights and access to the sea.

Your voice is important. This is an opportunity to:

●Share your knowledge and concerns

●Learn about proposed changes

●Ensure that our rights, livelihoods, and traditions are respected

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: Dangriga Town

Fishers, community members, youth, and elders are all encouraged to attend.
