Scarlet Macaw Eco-Adventure Camping & Farm

I spent some time taking videos and pictures of the river, waterfalls and property. Here are my favorite pictures from the recent jungle hikes to find waterfalls around the property. Locals took me to an awesome 30 foot waterfall with a huge pool. Best waterfall yet. Having some internet issues so I will load up videos later. We found 9 waterfalls in one day. There is a nice area with 5 waterfalls, one short waterfall followed by 3 10 foot waterfalls and another short waterfall. Unfortunately some of the waterfalls are dry right now due to the time of the year. I can't wait to see them in the wet season. One of the lower waterfalls is avoided because people have died kayaking through the falls. I tested it out slowly jumping in rapids. I understand why some people could have died in the waterfall. Video will be loaded once internet is working better. We still have some work making trails to the waterfalls. On to cave and ruin hunting!

Sunday we went to find the source of the three waterfalls. We found several wet season waterfalls (waterfalls will be present during the rainy season once there is more water flowing) along the way to the source. The best find was a 30 foot high wet season waterfall. I can't wait to go there to see the waterfall during the set season.

Saturday Raul Tec and went to the Sierra Blanco (White mountain) in Roseville to find the Roseville cave. We found cliffs to climb using only roots and vines, a shelter, but we didn't find the cave....lol if we continued on our path we would have found we were told later. Next time!
I wanted to share some pictures of a tour that people could take to climb the cliff, see the shelter and cave.

Come to our locations for a relaxing day. Listen to the birds and waterfalls while you lay on the sandy beach or warm rocks. Go for a cool refreshing swim in the river. Treat yourself and your body by scrubbing yourself or with a friend clean with the beautiful sand. If you still didn't get all the dead skin off just stand or sit in the refreshing water and let the little fish nibble all the dead skin off. Lay on the rocks or a hammock and stare at the stars as the world washes away from you.

Well I spent three weeks in Belize working on the business. We now have a thatch up with two picnic tables. Designated camping areas. Cleared a spot for the house. Fixed the road to the property. Figured out parking. Put up signs. Collected a lot of wood to build two more picnic tables, observation deck, and tree house. Meet with the local village council to get a verbal Memorandum of Understanding. Found the trails for one area with 3 waterfalls and another area with one large water fall. Found several dry falls that I will need to look at during the rainy season.
Lots of fun and will provide some more photos and video. Looking forward to getting back to finish all the work and start the farm.

AJ is back in Belize and is working on getting the house built! Stan has come back to teach Kite surfing. Back in the full swing of adventures!
