Red Rose Canada Your eagerly anticipated Red Rose Camp is going international to Canada in 2026, will you be there?

This August we will be welcoming fellow Scouts from the United Kingdom and Germany. Be sure to stop by and visit them. We will post the dates that they are here shortly. The badge theme this year was a red T-Rex as you can see from the photos.

Last Week at Blue Springs Scout Reserve we completed a 4 month project in preparation for 200 Scouts from the UK and 300 Scouts from Germany. We completed 6 out doors showers.
Ranger Paul came up with the vison and in March we built 4 additional Showers, and in April we added the plumbing and built the stand for 2 1,000 liter water totes. In June and July we ran the power and hooked them all up to a the demand pump. Thanks to Mike Burke, Martin Walters, David Leitch, and Warren Warren Jackman for all your dedication and hard work the scouts will have warm showers..
They will be put to good use this summer.

On Tuesday the Camp Committee combined it's annual BBQ with the June meeting. What we thought might be a short meeting turned into a long lively discussion about plans for this summer and the new 2026-27 scout year. Thank you everyone for your contributions as we strive to make BSSR the #1 scout camp in Canada !

I wanted to thank the volunteers who ran the different activities at Spring Things and Flap Jacks today and those behind the scenes that made this another successful annual event! The weather was an amazing 10/10
