Young athletes from Airdrie-based taekwondo club reach national podium, one headed to worlds.

Several young athletes from an Airdrie-based taekwondo club reached the podium at the 2026 Canadian National Championships — including one who has earned a berth at the world championships.

Dear All W.C.T.A Families..

We have some good news to share.

At the 2026 Canadian National Championships, Lian Chae from World Class Taekwondo became the first Alberta athlete to win a silver medal in the Cadet Male Individual Poomsae division and a gold medal in the Cadet Male Team Poomsae division.
He has also been selected to represent Canada at the World Championships in Chuncheon, Korea in September 2026.

Also, Lia chae got gold medal, Hope Till got Silver Medal and Nicole Kim got Bronze in Youth Female individual poomsae division. and they (Lia Chae, Hope Till and Nicole Kim) are got Gold medal in. Youth Female Team Poomsae Division.

Finally, Larson Jin placed in the top 8 in the Cadet Male Individual Poomsae.
