Tomorrow is the annual Francis rugby cup!
I have posted the schedule below. Please arrive early to check out the map for the field set up and warm up.

Address is Bert church highschool field at 1010 E Lake Blvd SE, Airdrie.

Washrooms are in Genesis.

All players get lunch (hotdog, chips, drink). If any family or friends want lunch we are selling $5 tickets.

There will be a obstacle relay race at the end you can have a go at.

Every player will receive a medal.

There are some coupons and freebies for the parents too that the coach will hand out to you.

Parents and family bring lawn chairs.

There will also be a merchandise table with items for sale.

This is in honour of our beloved Kyle Francis who did so much for the rugby community!

I want to thank his family who lives on and continues be heavily involved in rugby. Thank you for everything you do.

Dear Peter Brown and Esteemed Members of the City Council,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for the ongoing NE regional Park development initiatives in our beloved city and to advocate for the inclusion of a new rugby field within this project.
As a resident deeply enthusiastic about sports and community engagement, I have seen the growth of interest in rugby among the youth and adults alike in Airdrie. The addition of a dedicated rugby field in our city's park infrastructure will fill a gap in our current park’s spaces as currently there is no rugby fields in our city.
Rugby is a sport that encourages teamwork, physical fitness, and sportsmanship. It promotes inclusivity and provides an avenue for people of all ages to come together, build connections, and lead healthy lifestyles. Having a dedicated field for rugby would not only accommodate the current enthusiasts but also attract newcomers to the sport, enhancing the diversity of recreational activities available in Airdrie.
I believe that integrating a rugby field into the new NE Regional Park development aligns with the city's commitment to fostering a vibrant and active community. Such an addition would not only benefit the present population but also leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
I kindly ask that the City Council consider the inclusion of a rugby field in the plans for the NE Regional Park. I am more than willing to support this initiative and collaborate with other community members to ensure its success.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

For the first time ever, we will be hosting U16 & U18 westerns in Calgary and Rugby Alberta is in some need of volunteers to make this day a success!!!

Entry Gate
Field Manager
Broadcast
Ball Runner (Age 12-14)

Westerns are August 4th -6th from approximately 8:00am-6:00pm on Friday/Saturday with finals on Sunday the 6th from approximately 8:00am-1:00
