🎾🏆 Friday Make-Up Day — What a Finish to the Week! 🏆🎾

What a fantastic Friday on the courts! Today, Gurnav and Marcus met for the first time and played together during their make-up session—and it didn’t take long for the friendly competition to come out! 😄🎾

The boys had an amazing time playing Self-Rally Points, Throw Tennis, and working on their volleys. There were plenty of laughs, some great competition, and lots of energy on the court. 💪🎾

Best of all was hearing their feedback afterward—they both had an amazing time! That’s exactly what we want to hear: learning new skills, building confidence, meeting other young players, and having fun along the way.

We also had a little surprise waiting for them… three mini trophies! 🏆🏆🏆 One to recognize each week of camp they have attended. Gurnav received his first, while Marcus received two for his two weeks on the courts with us. 👏🎉

Congratulations, Gurnav and Marcus, on everything you’ve accomplished so far! It’s been fantastic watching your skills and confidence grow—and something tells us we haven’t seen the last of either of you on the courts this summer! 😉🎾

🎾 Make-Up Day on the Court! 🎾

Today was Gurnav’s make-up session from a couple of weeks ago, and he came ready to work hard and have fun! 💪🎾

We focused on refining his forehand and backhand volleys, while also enjoying one of his favourite activities—Throw Tennis! 😄 It’s always great to mix skill development with fun games that keep players engaged and excited to learn.

To wrap up the session, Gurnav put his new serving skills into action by starting each point with an overhead serve before rallying with Coach Vic. It was fantastic to see how much his confidence and technique have developed over the past few weeks.

We’re also excited for tomorrow, when Marcus will be joining Gurnav on the court for his make-up session. It should be another fun day of tennis, learning, and friendly competition! 🎉🎾

Great job today, Gurnav! We can’t wait to see you both back on the courts tomorrow.

🎾 Bonus Camp Day (Yesterday)! 🎾

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Gurnav back to the courts for an extra training session! This wasn’t a make-up class—it was an additional session to continue building on the great progress he’s been making. 💪🎾

Yesterday’s focus was on refining his backhand, improving his volleys by taking time away from the ball at the net, and continuing to develop the mechanics of his serve. Step by step, Gurnav is becoming more confident and technically sound with every session.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch his skills, confidence, and love for the game continue to grow. We can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next!

🎾 Day 5 – Friday Update 🎾

Unfortunately, today’s camp is cancelled due to poor air quality. With the AQHI in the high-risk range, we’re keeping everyone off the courts for safety. We’ll make up today on Thursday August 6th, and Friday August 7th, when Coach Vic and Coach Anthony are back from vacation. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding. Stay safe, and we’ll see you in August!

🎾 Camp Weather Update 🌧️

Unfortunately, we had to cancel today’s session after the rain started just as we arrived at the courts.

We are hoping to reschedule the session for tomorrow. However, with the Air Quality Health Index currently at 9, tomorrow’s sessions may also need to be cancelled for everyone’s health and safety. 💨

We’ll continue monitoring the conditions and provide an update as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

🎾 Wednesday Hump Day! 🐪🎾

Another fantastic day on the court with Gurnav! Today, we fine-tuned his backhand and introduced a new tactical skill—attacking short balls and finishing the point with a winning volley at the net. 💪🎾

We also began working on the fundamentals of the serve by practicing proper ball toss technique. Every great serve starts with a consistent toss, and Gurnav did a great job learning this important foundation. 🎾🙌

It’s been wonderful to watch Gurnav’s confidence and skills grow each day. His hard work, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are paying off!

🎾 Day 2 of Summer Camp! 🎾

Gurnav came to camp today full of energy and ready for another great day of tennis! 💪🎾

Today we focused on developing his backhand and introduced volleys as the next step in his skill development. It was exciting to watch Gurnav take on new challenges while continuing to build his confidence on the court.

Of course, there was plenty of fun too! 😄 Gurnav enjoyed playing Throw Tennis and some exciting rounds of Tic-Tac-Toe Tennis with the coaches. These games are a great way to build tennis skills while keeping learning fun and engaging.

By the end of the session, Gurnav was definitely feeling the workout after chasing down lots of balls all afternoon! 🏃‍♂️🎾 Hard work pays off, and it’s great to see his effort and determination each day.

We can’t wait to see what Day 3 brings!

Day 1 of a New Week! 🎾

What a great start to another week of summer camp! Today, we welcomed Gurnav to the court, and he had an awesome first day as we evaluated his current tennis skills and got to know his game.

Some of Gurnav’s favourite activities were Throw Tennis and Self Rally, where he showed great enthusiasm, focus, and a willingness to learn. It was wonderful to see his confidence grow throughout the session!

We’re looking forward to another fun-filled day with Gurnav tomorrow as we continue building his skills and confidence on the court!
