It’s been a while; I decided to take a sabbatical of sorts. I’ve been quiet…healing…

The lessons I gathered during my time away became the foundation for so much of my writing, including this blog, where I invite you to join me in exploring what it means to heal, to let go, and to embrace the cycles of life and loss.

At TYJ, we believe that yoga is more than just a physical practice; it is a way of life. To support your journey in embracing the full spectrum of yoga, we are delighted to introduce our monthly online class series: Yoga Off the Mat.

It’s a unique online class designed to explore yoga's philosophies, teachings, and lifestyle practices beyond physical postures. Each month, we dive into different aspects of yoga, such as meditation, mindfulness, Ayurveda nutrition, and self-compassion. This class is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of yoga and integrate its principles into everyday life.

• Date: The fourth Tuesday of every month

• Time: 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM (MST)

• Format: Live online session via Google Meet

Joining our Yoga Off the Mat online class is simple! Here’s how you can sign up:

• Navigate to the Shop page and select memberships & Pricing and select Yoga Off the Mat- this membership lets you register for this class only. (or if you already have a different membership with us you can use that)

• You will prompted to create an account (if you don’t have one) you can then Register for the class by selecting it on the schedule page or the offerings page

• When prompted to pay you will use your YOTM membership

• You will receive a confirmation email with the Google Meet link and further instructions.

Join us online!

In this 6-week "Introduction to Meditation" we will discuss how to start a daily meditation practice and address some of the common obstacles of "sticking with it" by using strategies that work!
This class is anchored in the philosophy of the Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali but will also include some science-based support for the traditional teachings.
Each week we will have group discussion, teachings that support you in understanding your body, mind and the practice, and we will of course, do some practice together.
*Handouts will be provided when appropriate and a WhatsApp group will be created for those interested in support & connection outside of class time.
*Registering for this class also means you are committing to doing your best to do the weekly homework of 1-5 minutes of practice per day.
