Our season concluded this weekend with the Marc Kennedy Junior Classic in St. Albert. The team finished the round robin with a 4-1 record. Unfortunately, they lost in the U18 final and ended up as silver medalists. During the weekend they sported a couple of new looks and may even have had an identity crisis...thank you Marc and all involved in a fantastic event! Everyone had so much fun and took away some pretty good loot to boot!!

As most would know by now, the team lost a real heartbreaker in the provincial final yesterday afternoon in Okotoks. The boys played their hearts out and fought hard to the very last rock in the extra end. We would like to thank the Okotoks Curling club, event chairs Mike Libbus, Katarina Warkman and their committe, volunteers and participants for making amazing memories for us. Congratulations to the U18 provincial champions teams Bakker and Jacques. We know you'll represent Alberta well and do us proud! Thank you to our team sponsors who made our run possible and lastly but certainly not least our coach Blair Lenton whose tireless efforts and dedication raised us up to where we are today.

We're going to Provincials! The team won their B final qualifier! Congrats to Team Ector and Team Vincent as U18 men's and women's A qualifiers, Team Thangadurai as U18 women's B qualifier and good luck to all teams playing for the C men's and women's qualifiers this afternoon. We would like to thank the Medicine Hat Curling Club for hosting this amazing Southerns playdown.
