Bootcamps and burpees don't serve everyone, so we are offering a beginner TACKLE class! For those who aren't familiar with the acronym HIIT, it stands for high intensity interval training (don't let the word 'intensity' scare you). You perform an exercise (ie. high knees) for a given amount of time, pushing your heart rate to the max, followed by a short rest. Ideal for a busy schedule because it's so efficient. 45 minutes of interval training is equivalent to a steady, 1 hour run on a treadmill people!! Need another reason to try it? Let's see, it requires no equipment, increases your metabolism, and because it works the anaerobic system, it burns more calories - as much as 24 hours after your workout! So if you're new to fitness and care to try something fun, check it out on mindbody. Don't worry, if you're a seasoned vet there's always a way to make it more difficult.
