💜 HAIRCUT BY DONATION DAY - SAVE THE DATE - JUNE 28TH 💜
On June 28th from 9am-5pm, HairBenders Salon is hosting a haircut by donation event to support our lovely in the next step of her battle with her rare and aggressive cancer! Just after her 33rd birthday, Emilyy was diagnosed with stage three uterine leiomyosarcoma that has since progressed to stage four. This rare cancer affects roughly 6 in every 1,000,000 women, with a median age around 60 years old. She has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. Next week, Emilyy will be starting 6 rounds of an experimental new chemotherapy that is not covered by Alberta Health, with each round costing up to $10,000.
If you know Emilyy, you know the bright smile and the heart that gives and gives and gives. We know it is our turn to give that energy back to her and we are excited to have the chance to work with our community to support this wonderful girl on June 28th!

Why is it always the goalkeeper that is absolutely mental? I mean you have to be a little bit crazy to throw your body around the box, jumping in front of the ball and risking your body every game right?

We’ll be at the Children’s Festival on Saturday, May 23rd!
Stop by and say hi, try some fun soccer activities, skill challenges, and lots of touches on the ball for kids of all ages. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Composure in 1v1 situations is everything. The stop and go freezes the defender for just a second… and that’s all the space he needs to get the shot away. Every touch had a purpose which eventually leads the player to where he wants to go. So calm on the ball 🥶

Simple and fun game. Fast decisions. ⚡️⚽️
Players attack the defender and must instantly react when one gate closes. Great for reaction speed, agility, and quick decision making under pressure.
The kids were fully locked in for this one and really enjoyed it.

Watching these two go at it 🔥
Strong tackles, fearless battles, and the confidence to stay on the ball.
Been lucky to watch these two grow from the early days in our programs. Love getting to see them battle now.
This is also what happens when players train around others who push them 📈
Better competition = higher level. They challenge each
other, and both get better because of it.

If you’re trying skill moves at game speed and it goes wrong? Good. That’s how young players actually improve.
Knocking cones over while dribbling at full speed > slowly weaving through perfectly.
Be brave. Be aggressive. Make mistakes. That’s where growth happens
