Had to take some time out of the hustle and bustle to bust a couple largies at the old honey hole. As per it didn’t disappoint. 6”Yum dinger in green watermelon red flake never lets me down.

Get after those musky as water temps start to fall and you got your best chance at monster. Here’s a couple chunkers we hooked into the other day. We were trolling the bucher tail tin buck in black and silver on my 7”sojourn paired up with the tranx ahg 401 with 80 lb power pro and 125lbfloro leader.

46” musky I caught trolling the blue fox super bou in black/orange just under the surface at high speeds along the w**d line. I was rigged up with my 6”6 medium heavy and my Ardent grand 7:3.1with 50lb power pro and a 100lb fluorocarbon leader.

Had a absolutely amazing bass opener on one of my goto lakes for largmouth. Got into a all these throwing my favorite largemouth bait. A watermelon/red flake senko worm on a 5/0 trokar hook on 20 lb floro on my Ardent tournament pro rod with the ardent ranger baitcaster just to pull those big girls outa the slop.

Another tiger Musky I caught casting the blue fox vibrax inline spinner in white on my 6”6 bps combo spooled up with 80lb power pro and a 50lb floro leader. These hydrid fish are usually sterile and don’t have to worry about spawning soo it’s said that they grow at a rate 1.5x faster than its parent fish.

Well musky opener sure didn’t disappoint this year. I managed to get into two new personal best fish. A beautiful walleye and a tiger musky. Caught another nice tiger as well. After all the pike I’ve caught this year it’s only fitting that the musky I caught were pike hybrids. The muskys were caught casting the blue fox inline spinner in pink and the walleye was caught trolling a northland bootycall spinner bait in perch color. I was fishing with 80lb braid on my bps baitcaster combo 6”6 medium heavy.

Very few presentations stand the test of time as well as a Williams wobbler trolled across w**dy flats for pike. whether it was the red devil or the yellow five diamond it was best trolled at 4-4.5 km around 7-9ft deep. Had the Ardent bolt 2000 on a 7ft Ardent tournament pro medium action with 24lb gliss and a 1ft leader.

When walleye season opens We sure don’t disappoint. The w**ds hadn’t quite set up yet so ripping and jigging was soon replaced with some moving baits. I ended up getting it done with a jointed shad rap05 in perch and a DT thug in parrot. Had those paired up with my Ardent elite and the new Ardent tournament pro rod. 30lb powerpro moss with a 3” leader of Berkeley transition fluorocarbon in 6lb.
