It is with immense sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the deeply unfortunate news of the sudden and unexpected passing of Carlton and Karen’s beloved daughter Amanda James.
The family is struggling to comprehend this profound and tragic news. We kindly request your understanding and support as the family navigates through this incredibly challenging period of mourning. Your thoughts, prayers and any gestures of comfort are dearly appreciated by the family.
Our hearts ache with the absence of Amanda and we ask for your continued support and understanding during this unimaginably difficult time.
Details regarding Amanda’s memorial service and any arrangements to honour her beautiful life will be communicated in due time.

Triple Play Academy is proud to host our Annual Feed The Need Durham. Feed the need Durham is a donation drop off center that dispenses food through out Durham region to their partners (Salvation Army, food banks, soup kitchens, emergency shelters etc) We would like to take this time to remember that there are people in our community less fortunate and who can not afford or who struggle to put food on their table day after day. Holiday food drives and donation centers help stock the shelves and get as much food out to those in need in our community. It’s time to give back! We are asking that all of our sports families and friends please donate non perishable food items. Our goal is to donate 1000 lbs of food! Drop offs can be made anytime during business hours. Triple Play Academy will have bins available for all donations until December 18, 2022. We will then take all donations to Feed The Need Durham drop off center on Dec 19, 2022. We are asking that you share this with friends, family and social media to let people know that any and all drop offs are welcome. Everyone is encouraged to participate and help us reach our goal!! Not only is it good to give back to those in need, it’s also a lesson about humanity, kindness, compassion and giving, that we would like to pass down to our players and children. They are our future! Any and all donations are welcomed!! As a baseball/sports family in the community lets come together, fill the bins and do our part to give back!
