There are three opportunities to pay tribute to veterans at Remembrance Day ceremonies this year in Mississippi Mills:
๐ฅ CLAYTON โ Saturday, November 9 at 10:45 a.m. at the Clayton Cenotaph.
Organized by Almonte Legion Branch 240, veterans will begin marching from Clayton Hall to the Cenotaph (across from Clayton General Store โ 2862 Tatlock Road) at 10:45 a.m. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. and will include the laying of wreaths.
๐ฅ PAKENHAM โ Monday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cenotaph in front of Pakenham Public School.
This annual ceremony, coordinated by Pakenham Public School includes a wreath laying ceremony. Military and Legion representatives will be in attendance. A light lunch to be served afterward at the school.
๐ฅ ALMONTE โ Monday, November 11 at 10:45 a.m. at the Almonte Cenotaph. Organized by Almonte Legion Branch 240, a parade will form at 10:45 a.m. at the Legion on Bridge Street, to march to the Cenotaph next to Almonte Old Town Hall. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. and will include a wreath laying service.
