The Antigonish Chamber of Commerce has a loaded lineup of vendors ready to take over Main Street next week! There's something for everyone here, and it will also feature live music and family friendly entertainment. We hope to see you there!!!

Burnside is a relatively new business in our community, but they have quickly become a local favourite! We are so grateful for their continued support. We're less than one week away from the opening of the 161st Antigonish Highland Games!!! It's looking like the weather is finally going to turn as we enter Games week, and the action on the field is going to be just as hot!

We have a near record number of Tug of War teams coming to the field, with Men's, Women's, and 4H teams giving it all they got to take the top spot! Falmouth has proven to be a challenge for Antigonish these last few years, claiming the top spot in both the Men's and Women's categories.

Will history repeat itself, or will Antigonish finally break through and claim first over their friendly rivals? There's only one way to find out, come on down and join us for an exciting day of pulls on July 12th! You don't want to miss it!!!

We have now filled 60% of our volunteer positions! To those who have signed up, we thank you profusely! To those who haven't, we will take all the helping hands we can find!

It's never been easier to lend a helping hand, so if you've got a few hours to spare we would appreciate it greatly! From the town to the county, we are so grateful for the incredible support we receive for the Antigonish Highland Games each year! We'd like to extend our most sincere gratitude to Warden Nick MacInnis, the staff and council of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish for once again lending their generous support to our community's oldest tradition! So many of the incredible athletes, dancers, musicians, and performers who attend the AHG each year are from the county of Antigonish. Indeed, many of the communities that surround our town were and continue to be predominantly Scottish, and their names are beared on street signs and community names. It is just a great example of how Scottish Highland culture thrives in the county of Antigonish, and we can't thank them enough for continuing to bear the torch that arrived all the way from the Scottish Highlands to our shores. Programs like the Operating Assistance to Cultural Organizations are crucial to the sustained success of not for profit organizations like the AHS. We could not do what we do each year without support from all levels of government, and the province is no exception. Great news everyone! The routes for the inaugural Fiddlers Fondo: Keppoch’s Highland Grand Gravel Event have now been finalized! Here is a route map showcasing the incredible gravel roads, backcountry scenery, and Highland landscapes riders will experience on July 5.

With route options ranging from the family-friendly Wee Highlander to the challenging 62 km Highlander, there is something for everyone—young and old, experienced cyclists and first-time gravel riders alike. The event is shaping up to be a fun and unique way to kick off Highland Games weekend while showcasing the beauty of the Antigonish Highlands.
