Soogadin U15B Junior Oil Barons are heading home with the Silver medal from the Stick it to kids cancer tournament in Calgary. We didn't get to finish our gold medal game due to one of our players getting hurt & having to go to the hospital by ambulance.

Overall we won 3 games this weekend & we are very proud of you all for bringing home the Silver medal.

We are being told that Andrew was getting feeling back in his legs. He has been taken to the hospital for observation with the ambulance and our thoughts and love go with him for a speedy recovery.

The winning streak continues with a commanding 14-1 win over the renegades this morning followed by a 4-1 win over the Raiders this evening. Game 1 awards - MVP to Noah Payne for racking up 5 points! Hard hat to Ryder “Tom Wilson” Conners for being a menace on the puck, scoring a goal and two assists. JOB chain to Elias Canning for picking up 3 helpers and confident on the back end. Game 2 awards - MVP to Gunnar Deltess for making some critical saves, holding the host team to 1 goal against. Hard hat to Jax Clement for playing excellent on the PK, pressuring the puck carrier every shift. JOB chain to Joesph Forgeron for finding the open ice, playing the body and also killing it on the PK.

JOB finish 1st with 9 points and play for Gold against Bonnyville tomorrow at 12:30!

The boys are playing in the 11th annual Raiders Hockey Club U15 'Stick it to Kids Cancer' Tournament in Calgary this weekend.

This tournament strives to promote athleticism in the community, leadership and dedication amongst young developing athletes, all with a consistent balance of FUN. As part of our goal, we challenge all participating players to raise money through their own efforts to support the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta. Soogadin U15B Junior Oil Barons have raised $2140.

The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta is a charitable organization that helps Alberta families fighting childhood cancer.

The boys are looking sharp in there purple cancer awareness jerseys sponsored by Centerfire Energy Group. Thank you for always going above & beyond for our youth sports. 💜🏒
