Black Pearl Kayaking

The Spring portion of the 4 season Crack Hike challenge is complete ✅
Wilfred and I both agree we out of shape come spring so this has been the hardest climb/hike yet but Lady May of course was a bouncy beast as usual. Even had energy for a swim when we got down to the bottom again.
Remember when climbing up The Crack the rocks are all shapes and sizes as well as sometimes moving. If you’re dog can not climb on their own please invest in a doggy backpack to allow your hands to be free to support your climb well taking your dog up! Do not risk yours and your dog’s life by trying to climb up and down with them in your arms. Off leash climbing for Lady May is the safest option for both of us and we happily wait for a chance to let her go without anyone else doing the climb at the same time. Be safe! Proper foot wear is highly recommended! 🥾 🏕️ 🐶 ♥️

Those sunsets and sunrises the full moons and mirror glass waters where puppies can be puppies and humans can forget we even are human… I live for these moments I get completely lost in them 💛 an yes the last photo is me on a log destroying a bag of chips watching the sun set ☀️🥰 Jen and Timber in the orange Canak

Super moon has me; and when I can’t sleep on a full moon I walk around taking pictures and enjoying the glow of silvers, greys and whites i🌕 would you believe I have an entire album of full moons? The Buck moon is in its full super moon glory and incase you didn’t know this means the wild blueberries are ready 🫐 .

Lady May loves the water, the woods and everything outdoors … just as much as I do! The kayaks to me are a super durable safe place for me to push my limits and be a beast but to her the kayaks are diving boards, stable jungle gyms, the safe place from annoyed beavers 🦫, and the most exciting words I can say to make her pretty ears perk up “want to go kayaking?” As she calms down the canoes will get more use but with puppy mode still a go we need less space for zoomies!

I didn’t mean to scare my new Blanding friend but I didn’t notice her until I was very close heading for the door! Threatened are the Blanding turtles here in Ontario so I am very happy to see this is the second Blanding turtle looking to nest here… such a long way from the big pond but these lady’s are picking a safe place to nest with many dedicated turtle lovers living there! 💚🐢

The smell today in Ontario is a beautiful after storm moist that we can all agree is much needed 💙 This makes me just as happy as the squirming some people experience over the word moist 🤭

The strawberry 🍓 moon 🌕 had a haze of smoke around it that hasn’t lifted since. As much as the smell of Smokey campfire in the air normally triggers a sense of comfort and adventure for me it’s actually been a rather worrying feeling. I have never experienced smoke in the air for days. The strawberry moon normally begins my adventures to the wild strawberry patches I like to snack on but looks like I’ll be waiting for blueberries instead and sticking a little closer to home! I’ll keep hopeful of rain 🌧️

A bit of copper or brass had me completely engulfed in the flames 🔥 I love fire in a way that no matter how many times I am burnt I will still be forever in awe

I love apple blossoms the smell is so intoxicating that if the black flies weren’t so thick I’d hangout and watch the bees work their magic to bring fall apples 🍎 The deer and I look forward to our favourite fall treats 🥰
