Taxandria Soccer Club

The U12 Girls Tier 1 team competed in the AC Douglas Tournament in Niagara Falls this weekend! They entered this tournament knowing they would play all Academy Teams and face some very big centers. These girls went undefeated in the round-robin, with a 1-0 win against Newmarket, a 3-0 win against Huron Perth United, and a 3-1 win over Oakville Lavender Team 2. They finished the round-robin in 3rd place, which meant they would have to face Oakville ADP (Athlete Development Program) Team 1 in the semi-finals. They battled it out and didn't back down, but just ended up short. These girls made all their parents and coaches proud. A weekend to remember!

Taxandria Mens 1st Division team defeated LACFC last week with a 2-1 win. These guys also won against Chatham 3-0 on Sunday, and are sitting 2nd in the league! They are on the road for their next couple games but have their last home game scheduled for August 27th at 7pm.

The U11 Tier 3 Boys team was scheduled to play against Ingersoll last night. Unfortunately their opponent couldn't field a team, so Tax players offered to join and make a friendly out of it.

The U11Tier2 Boys team faced Sarnia last week. They challenged themselves to the bigger field, allowing them to find some extra space to play and use their skills.

Our Tier 1 and 2 goalies had the privilege of working with Jacob Kingma for some goalie training. All of the goalies left with more skills and confidence that will help them throughout their games and season. Big thank you to Jacob and his assistants!

The U15Tier2 Boys took on PCL last week and finished the game with a 4-3 win! Well done!
