Arnprior Badminton Club

Hi friends,

The finlay/wiser badminton tournement is set for April 26 in Remfrew ! I’d love to put one/two teams ! If interested, please express interest my way. (We are always short on skilled female players). We participated last year in Pembroke, so much fun!

Plse note this is a competitive tournement, not geared for beginner/low skilled players.

We play Sunday and Tuesday nights at the night smith Center, 7-10 pm. Everyone is welcome to come out! We’d love to meet new players - all skill levels welcomed. My usual style - bring a friend 😜 🏸

Renfrew Badminton Club is excited to welcome everyone back to the Armouries for our regular Tuesday night badminton starting on October 1, 2024, at 6 PM. The drop-in fee is $5 at the door. All ages are welcome, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

I’m thinking to start a community youth badminton club and looking if anyone would like to partner with me. I will need help and support.

More details to come - it will most likely be at the French school once a week, we could do right after school - to be further discussed. Best to keep this under your hat for now as I’m still in discussion with the school. I’ll share more if we do launch.

There is good badminton at the Nick Smith center Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, starting at 7 pm. Why not bring a friend or two and hit the birdie around ?!🏸

Hello Arnprior badminton folk,

It is with great joy that I share Arnprior has participated in the Findley and Wiser cups! We were two teams, we played our hearts out! (Thank you Renfrew, pembroke and deep River for loaning is players 🤪🫣)

I fully intend thet we participate yearly! such amazing and friendly players.

Did you know it’s been 16 years since arnprior competed in this ottawa valley tournament? We are back and welcomed with open arms.

Arnprior has won the cup once - in 1949! Let’s get our name back on there !!

**** Starting the week of April 29, Badminton will have an additional night as Tuesdays are back for the summer! All three sessions (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) will run from 7-10pm in the Community Hall. Let’s get ready for next years tournament - in Renfrew- 2026 has the potential to be Arnprior hosting! Hi friends - Anyone want to join my dragon boat team??

July 20th this summer is race day. I have room for about 7 paddlers. $60 for the day, and ideally 2 practices beforehand. No experience necessary, but ideally good cardio as it’s intense paddling for 3-4 mins. It’s a ball of fun!!

Early bird registration is mid January and I’d love to register the vessel soon. If you’re interested, plse sent word (and payment 😉). I’ll add you to our group chat.

As of November 20, Badminton will shift to Monday nights at 7:00pm.

Additionally, the Badminton fee has been reduced to $4.00 for Arnprior residents and $6.00 for non-residents. You can also take your receipts to the McNab/Braeside Township office for reimbursement for the $2.00 difference.

If you know you want every Monday you can register for the “course” to make the registration easier.
