Hope your school years have started strong and the kids are all happy and healthy. As some of you know, my (Ashley's) family runs a curling event every year that raises money for cancer research. Tyler, Claire and I will be participating in the event this year again and are hoping to beat our fundraising efforts from last year. Hey Everyone! With school starting today we wanted to wish all of our swimmers a great start to the new academic year! We also wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us this summer. It was a bit of a different year for us and at some times we felt like we were along for the ride with you guys so thank you for your patience, your excitement, for the memories we made and for choosing us and making this summer another great one. We were so happy that some more of you guys got to meet Claire this year and hopefully will be seeing her with us in the water again next summer! Hope you all enjoyed the rest of your summer and have a great rest of the year. See you real soon!

This past week closed Whale Tail Swim School’s 6th season! We would like to take the time to thank each and every one of you who joined us this year and made this summer another success! We always have so much fun with you and are so thankful to be a part of your summers. Please enjoy the rest of the summer and good luck to all of our little swimmers in school this year, we hope to see you next summer!

This is a great safety guide for children swimming in lakes and swimming pools. The color of the bathing suit can make it easier or more difficult to see children while they are swimming. This is a good reminder to always have adult supervision when children are swimming. (Thanks to Praire Lakes Healthcare System.)

Meet our Staff

My name is Claire Simpson and I am the newest member of whale tail swim school! I am a gymnastics coach, co-op student at Southlake hospital, and a swim instructor at the Town of Aurora. My instructor experience includes pre-school, swim kids, parent and tot, and teen lessons. I am an active member of my schools swim team and previously a competitive gymnast. I also enjoy skiing, travelling, and baking. I started swimming for the first time when I was six months old, and I have developed a love for it ever since. I decided to join whale tail swim school because I want to share my passion for swimming with my younger generation in a fun and safe way.

Great news !!! As some of you may know we have extended our hours later thanks to our wonderful new addition CLAIRE !!! *cue the applause*

Claire has worked for the Town of Aurora for over a year now and was trained by your two favourite instructors! (Keep an eye out on here for a "Meet our Staff" post)

Another summer in the books! We would like to thank all our our amazing parents and all of our Mr and Mrs Magoos who joined us for lessons this year. We have such a passion for teaching and had so much fun being in the water for another incredible summer. Thank you everyone for an incredible summer. We appreciate all the parents that chose us to teach their children this summer, we had such an amazing time.
