Austin Skating Club

Two parents have expressed interest in serving on the Skate Club board so we can continue to offer skating lessons at the Austin rink. They are looking for a couple more people to volunteer to help. Any takers??!! Could run a very simplified program this year...even just Learn to Skate lessons would be better than nothing!

Hi folks, those of us who've served over the last several years on the skating club board are "retiring." There is an opportunity for a new group of parents and leaders to take the club over and ensure that local kids have the opportunity to learn how to skate!

If you are interested in serving the community in this way and taking this on, I would be willing to help you get started. Running the club is quite streamlined as Heartland Rec in MacGregor is able to handle registration and financials.

This is not the way we wanted to end this year's skating lessons, but there is too much water on the ice to go ahead with our skating wind up tonight.

Thanks to everyone for making the most of a difficult weather year. Thank you skaters, parents, coaches, and organizers!

The rink will be open this weekend for anyone wanting to retrieve their raffle prize donations.

Sorry for the broken record, but we are again having to cancel skating lessons tonight due to snow storm. The cancellation is being announced at AES, so kids will know not to walk over to rink!
