Girls Gone Rx Canada organizes all women's fitness team events across Canada while having a blast and raising awareness for a great cause. Teams of 3 women participate in three workouts and one team skill event. You can all be from different gyms and you don’t have to be affiliated or a seasoned competitor, you just need to be badass and ready to sweat. Wear your most ridiculous matching outfits a
nd come up with a clever team name. The goal is to HAVE FUN. Oh, and did we mention there are prizes?! We also ask if you could wear some sort of “pink” on you. Athletes wear glitter, tutus, have hilarious team names, and some really outrageously fun outfits! Funds go towards the Pink Diamond Women's Cancer Fund. We love this foundation as funds go directly to the patient. Tens-of-thousands of women facing cancer also face crushing financial burdens. With time off work, insurance co-pays and the extra expenses which accompany cancer, even the basic expenses of daily living often go unmet. And when a woman has cancer, her family also “has” cancer. Her spouse, children and even grandchildren share the pain. Households can literally fall apart as a woman struggles with illness, adding an unnecessary level of suffering to an already
difficult situation. The fund covers patients with all women’s cancers including:
Breast cancer
Cervical cancer
Endometrial cancer
Ovarian cancer
Uterine cancer
