Tomorrow is the opening season for archery here in Alberta, Canada.

It's going to be great to be back into the 5am breakfast routine with clients, scent free clothing and be in the field at dawn glassing the horizon for this giant pair of antlers.

The perfect shot placement question has been asked thousands times generating lengthy debate on social medias.

A picture being worth a thousand words, I'm posting Mark Peterson's bear picture showing where he shot placement was . His bear dropped dead in the crib over one single shot. Many outfitters and seasoned bear hunters will tell you that most of time a clean shot will still see the bear traveling 20 to 50 yards before giving his final moan.
