Community Yard Sale and Open Gym This Sunday May 28th 9am-2pm

The gym will be open to shoot hoops and play games, while the Yard Sale will have clothes, toys, books, tools, basketballs and more.... Donations are being accepted.

Lemonade Stand with drinks and snacks will also he on site.

Halloween Hoopfest is Back! Sunday October 30th and Monday October 31st... 2-6pm FREE ADMISSION

On this day in 1965, Bill Russell of the Boston Celtics grabbed 49 rebounds, the third-highest total in NBA history, during a 112-100 victory over the Detroit Pistons. In 1957, Bill Russell himself previously grabbed 49 rebounds and a few seasons later, during the 1960 NBA season, he would set the second highest NBA rebound total with 51 in 1960. During the same season in 1960, Wilt Chamberlain would set the record for most rebounds in a single game with 55.

Bill Russell played his entire 13 year, NBA Hall of Fame career with the Boston Celtics and is known for the following career accomplishments.

• 3× All-NBA First Team

• 8× All-NBA Second Team

• NBA All-Defensive First Team

• 4× NBA rebounding champion

• NBA 50th Anniversary Team

On this day in 1982, Canadian downhill ski racer Steve Podborski became the first non-European to win the World Cup season title in downhill skiing. During the same event at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympic Games, the Toronto athlete had captured the bronze medal for that event. Over his decorated career, he posted 44 top-10 finishes, winning 20 medals and 8 World Cup titles in that span.
