Quilt Canada 2026 has been a week filled with many new connections, being inspired and learning new things. Today we walked the floor being inspired by the quilt makers and shopped the vendors. Here is some eye candy on the beautiful quilts and the ones that drew me in today. The polar bears is a stunning quilt and won best in show.

Kawandi style quilting. I think I've stumbled upon a perfect hand sewing project for times when I'm away from my studio but want to enjoy my passion to be creative. Using scraps of fabrics and batting, while using very few tools and only finger pressing the raw edges it is a perfect take along project. My stitches on my first attempt needed some improvement (pink block) which led me to seek out better options. Thank you The Needle & Thread Emporium for guiding me to a better needle choice.

When someone purchases an Everlasting Creative Memories pattern AND a fabric line that was a favourite it makes for an amazing quilt. Thank you Linda for sharing the finished quilt. I love it! 😍

Did you know paying it forward, donating, and volunteering is good for your mind and body. The act of donating can have a profound impact on both your emotional and physical health. It can boost your mood, reduce stress, strengthen social bonds, and can contribute to a longer healthier life. There is a science to this good deed. Proud to say our modern quilt guild worked together, all donating time and materials to make and donate this quilt to a local charity. We hope it will be raffled off to raise funds. Well done ETMQG!
