I know it’s tempting to want a quick fix. But the more drastic the approach, the less sustainable the results. There are 14 months between these two photos. 433 days. Some were hard, some were easy. Some days I ate super clean food and drank lots of water, some days I ate like I had one day left on this planet and drank lots of margaritas. But I always showed up FOR ME. Not with the intention to lose weight, but to continue the quest of falling in love with myself by taking care of myself.
It's not about losing weight. It's about losing the lifestyle and habits that got you there. Losing weight doesn't make you a better person. It only makes you lighter. It doesn't make you smarter, funnier, kinder, more creative, more passionate, more determined or happier. It literally just.makes.you.lighter.
Once you stop only working on the physical and focus on fixing the mental bits that are holding you back, once you start treating yourself with love and kindness, once you stop beating yourself up for having that bite of cake or slice of pizza because you like those things, your body will change!
The problem isn't your body, it's that you're trying to fix the wrong thing. Your body isn't broken, your mind is. Work hard on loving yourself, the rest will take care of itself.
