It asks you to understand tension in a line, balance in a sail plan, the subtle vibration of an engine that isn’t quite right. You can’t swipe your way through that. You either know it, or you learn it the hard way.

Maybe that’s why so many of us are drawn to this life. It keeps our hands calloused and our minds sharp, even when everything else feels like it’s been reduced to a touchscreen. ⚓🌊

Every family has one person who stepped off the expected path. The one who chose docks over driveways and weather forecasts over routines.
