🥋 A new dojo for authentic Shinkyokushinkai Karate is opening in Mississauga — AGATSU DOJO!

If you live in Mississauga, Oakville, Milton, Etobicoke, or the surrounding area and are looking for more than just another sports program for yourself or your child, Agatsu Dojo offers a real martial arts path built on tradition, discipline, respect, and serious training.

Agatsu Dojo is part of WKO Shinkyokushinkai, an international Shinkyokushinkai Karate organization.

Training is led by Sensei Viktor Moskvych, 4th Dan WKO Shinkyokushinkai — an experienced instructor, National Category Referee, and Master of Sports of Ukraine. Throughout his coaching career, he has trained champions and medalists of Ukrainian and European Championships, as well as winners and medalists of international tournaments.

Karate here is about much more than punches, kicks, and physical fitness. It is about building character, learning to overcome challenges, developing confidence and respect, and not giving up when things get difficult.

🥋 THE 2026–2027 SEASON AT GEMINOS DOJO

An exciting and action-packed season is ahead of us, filled with tournaments, seminars, special training sessions, and other important events.

This year, we are introducing several new initiatives to help raise the level of our students’ training. These include systematic attendance tracking and European testing eligibility standards. More detailed information will be provided separately.

Please note an important change to the children’s class schedule:

Children’s class: 6:00–7:30 PM
The class will now be 1.5 hours long.

The adult class schedule remains unchanged.

🥋🇺🇸 6TH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP - LAS VEGAS 2026

On August 29, Geminos Dojo had the honour of attending the 6th American International Open Full Contact Karate Championship in Las Vegas.

The tournament brought together 123 athletes from 10 countries, representing seven full-contact karate organizations.

For the first time, Geminos Dojo attended a major championship without a competitive team. This time, our contribution took place on the other side of the tatami as we focused on refereeing, judging, and media coverage.

It was an extremely interesting, valuable, and educational experience. Officiating at a tournament of this level requires complete concentration, strong knowledge of the rules, teamwork, and the ability to make important decisions within seconds. We learned a great deal and gained experience that will help us continue developing the standard of refereeing and judging within our dojo.

We sincerely thank Sensei Luis “Pipo” Torregrosa, USA Country Representative and Branch Chief of WKO Shinkyokushinkai in the United States, for inviting us to participate in this championship.

Many thanks to Senpai Leo Liuzza and the entire Shinkyokushin Las Vegas team for their tremendous work. The championship was very well organized and conducted to a high professional standard.

Special thanks to Shihan Serhiy Mutin and Shihan Ventislav Sholin for inviting us to become part of their officiating team and for placing their trust in us. We sincerely hope that our work lived up to that trust.

We would also like to thank all the referees and judges for their professionalism, cooperation, support, and the experience they shared with us throughout the tournament. It was a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated international team.

One of the greatest things about the Kyokushin family is that every event gives us an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and build new friendships. We may come from different countries and organizations, but on the tatami we are united by the same values: discipline, respect, responsibility, courage, and the pursuit of continuous improvement.

This championship reminded us that tournaments are not only about medals and competitive results. They are also about learning, contributing, building relationships, and supporting the continued development of Kyokushin Karate.

Thank you, Las Vegas, for an unforgettable experience!

We look forward to meeting everyone again on the tatami.
