down about 50IB from May 2021 and December 2021. We can credit Matt’s success to his consistency, understanding the basic principles of weight loss and a bit of accountability from myself. We documented much of this process on the Fitness Decoded podcast,so check out the link in my bio for the details regarding his pretty impressive weight loss.

up 16IB in between these pictures and up 25IB from when we first started seriously working together in March of this year. Aside from visual improvements we’ve seen lots of progress in all his lifts. During this time we worked nearly entirely remotely, with my role being just to check in on his training, diet and lifestyle factors on a weekly basis. Most importantly we accomplished this without sacrificing too much in regards to ‘s lifestyle as we wanted this process to be as enjoyable as possible.

Maintenance meso 2, week 3, post upper day 1. Weighing in the low 160IB’s.
THIS is much more what I expect from myself.
Working around injuries over the last year hasn’t been easy, but in this time I’ve kept everything as consistent as I can trying too hold onto the muscle I have.
Recently I reached out to get some more experienced help and I’m excited for what they’ve got planned for me. In the next few months or so I’m hoping to see some improvements whether it be more overall mass or just training pain free.

I’m making small progress in regards to rehabbing these injuries. The only goal at the moment is to maintain as much size and strength as I can until I’m fit enough to start putting on mass again.

Weighing in around 161IB today. I decided to play around with different variations on my front double bicep. The last couple weeks have been pretty frustrating bodybuilding wise. No improvements in regards to lower body rehab and a pain flare up in both my elbows for the first time in my life right when I was about to begin a long upper body mass. All I got really at the moment besides maintenance training is essentially playing around with new posing variations. At this point I’m really trying to distance myself from my identity as a “bodybuilder” and just focusing on getting healthy again.

Typical training day full day of eating. I’m currently massing right now at about 0.8IB per week. My eating is pretty much planned ahead of time with some guidelines I adhere to depending on the day.

Weighing in around 158IB-160IB today. This is what I’m looking like after massing for 4 months and putting on 11IB’s. Honestly it wasn’t the most productive massing phase I’ve ever had, to put it lightly. There were a few aspects of my physique that didn’t improve as planned, I wasn’t as on point with my nutrition as I have been in the past, I’ve had some digestion issues I’ve been sorting out and I made a couple mistakes in relation to my lower body rehab. HOWEVER, I’ve learned and that’s done with and I have a clear idea of what needs to be adjusted moving foreword. I’m currently running a 4-5 week mini-cut to cut some fat down(4-5IB)and then immediately get back into massing. The long term goal is to add some quality upper body mass and get my legs in a healthy place.

It’s been a while since I’ve given any sort of physique update or posted at all lol. I’m finishing up my third mesocycle of this massing phase and weighing in anywhere between 157IB-160IB. I’m seeing definite improvements in my legs and posing. Noticeable improvements in my upper body are a little harder to come by but progress is being made.

Who is Castr0fitness & David Castro ?
The goal of Castr0Fitness is to transform your body into the physique you desire, through the use of science based training techniques and nutrition planning. Not only do Castr0fitness athletes achieve their ideal physiques, they are taught how to apply the information provided to further progress in their fitness and health goals for the remainder of their lives.
My name is David Castro and I am currently a natural bodybuilder, personal trainer and online coach studying Fitness and Health Promotion at Humber College. I plan to earn various personal training certifications within the next several years. I come from a soccer playing background as I dedicated about 4 years of my life playing competitively. After deciding to end my short playing career at 17 years of age my friends introduced me to resistance training and I have not looked back since. Over the last three years I have dedicated most of my free time to understanding and applying the fundamentals of weight training and nutrition. Over this three year period I have witnessed the positive impact of resistance training on my physique and overall quality of life. I am now considering competing in a men’s physique within the next year or so. In September 2018, I decided to found Castr0fitness with the desire to not only provide people results, but educate them on the methods I use in order for them to continue reaching their goals. I started off working with friends and family members and have gradually grown my clientele to co-workers, classmates and individuals who have discovered my services online. I hope to continue to expand my knowledge on exercise physiology and nutrition in order to grow Castr0fitness to it's fullest potential.
