The whole team up. 🦾
As always, I’m proud of this small team with big effort. Every one of them worked hard, faced challenges head-on, and still made it a fun experience.
Ava 🥇
Kailey 🥇
Aurora 🥇
Asees 🥉
To the rest of the team—no podium this time, but every match was fought with heart. You’re right there. We learn, we grow, and we come back stronger and smarter next time.
Forever proud. Forever grappling. 🥋💙

Last night we promoted three students, Fred, Nat and Justin.
One in his late 20s, one in his mid-50s, and one in his late-60s.
Different ages. Different paths. Different stories.
But sharing the same mats and making the same decision to keep showing up.
That’s what forever grappling really means to me.
It’s not about being the youngest or the most athletic.
It’s about committing to the work, staying humble, and not quitting when things get hard.
Proud of all three of you.
This journey doesn’t end — we just keep learning and moving forward together.

So grateful for our community 🙏🏽
We sold over 100 dozen doughnuts! And that’s a huge step to our goal. This fundraiser wouldn’t have been possible without everyone who supported us — families, friends, teammates, and everyone who shared, ordered, and helped spread the word.
Every order, message, and bit of encouragement means more than you know. You’re helping our kids chase big goals and create memories they’ll carry for life.
Thank you for believing in them and in our team. We’re getting closer, together 🤍🥋

Sunday Competition Class 🔥🔥🔥
Lesson for today: just because we fall doesn’t mean we stay down.
In Jiu Jitsu, getting swept isn’t the end. We don’t accept the bottom—we frame, scramble, and fight our way back up.
Life works the same way. You’ll get knocked down, more than once. What matters is the refusal to stay there.
Fall. Learn. Get back up. Every time.

Last year to this year is night and day.
Luis showed real growth out there.
He listened. Trusted the game plan.
And when things got messy, he adjusted.
He didn’t take the easy route.
Moved up in age. Moved up in weight.
Three tough matches. Two with friends.
One with someone who wanted it bad and almost took it.
Grateful for the opponents who pushed him.
Proud of the work. Proud of the progress.
This is what happens when you choose the hard road and don’t break.
Thank you to him and his parents for trusting me on this journey 🫡

Proud of our small but mighty youth squad at ADCC Toronto today 🦾
We fought with heart and left it all on the mats—our very first time competing as a team. 🫶🏽
🥇 Logan took gold with a fast armbar in the first round.
🥇 Aurora earned gold by pushing through self-doubt and winning both matches decisively on points—tears and all.
🥉 Ava showed true resilience. After losing her first match by points in overtime and dealing with an injury, she came back stronger to secure bronze with a rear-naked choke.
🥉 Kailo, our littlest warrior, fought with nothing but heart. Even in losses, he stepped up against far more experienced competitors and made us proud.
🦾 Luis, my man— we can’t win them all. This year will challenge you, but we believe you’ll come back stronger and sharper.
⚔️ Coach Jose, despite losing his matches, he stepped out and represented the school with grit and determination.
Out of 66 teams, our youth squad finished 11th overall.
First one in the books—this is just the beginning.
