But without fundamentals, none of it lasts.

As coaches, our job isn’t to let students chase everything.. it’s to help the lock in on the few basics that make everything else possible.

Good form. Good timing. Clean shots. Consistency.

Build that first… and the speed, power, confidence, and sharpness will follow.

Strong foundations create limitless progress.

Move your head before and after every attack. Amateur boxing isn’t the same as the pros—don’t just stand there admiring your work.

Head movement creates openings. Keep your head, feet, and hands working together at all times and you’ll start finding those clean shots

Distance management is everything — too close, you kill your own work… too far, you can’t touch anything.

Another meaningful signature on the brick wall today.

Honoured to have -President of Boxing Ontario and City Councillor for Wards 7 & 8 - stop by Brampton Boxing and add his name to the wall.

When leaders from our city and our sport step into the gym and show support, it means a lot to us as coaches and gym owners. These moments remind us that what’s happening inside these walls goes far beyond boxing.

This gym is about building discipline, confidence, and opportunity for the next generation in our community.

This wall isn’t for decoration.

Every signature will belong to a coach or fighter who walked into our gym with respect, shared knowledge, and showed real support.

This one is for RG — one of the first people to ever believe in what I was building. He opened his gym to me, shared his space, and helped me grow not just as a coach, but as a business owner.

Brick by brick, this wall tells a story of community.
If we can celebrate and support professionals from across the world, we should be doing the same for the ones building greatness right here in our own city.

Part 2: Fix Your Cross !!
Weight Transfer — Feel What Your Body’s Doing

Once you dial in the rotation (squish the bug), you’ll start to feel your weight shift — and that’s okay. With solid balance, the transfer becomes smooth and natural.

TIP:
• Sit down on your cross and feel your weight move onto your lead leg.

• Think: Front leg = hinge. Rear leg = door.
A door only works if the hinge is strong.

• Weight transfer shows up in every part of your skill set — slow it down, feel the reps, build the pattern.

Part 1 — Fix Your Cross!!
ROTATION. ROTATION. ROTATION. 🥊🔥

When you throw your cross, focus on rotating— not leaning.

Tips:
• Rotate your right hip and shoulder than extend the arm finishing the punch.

• Lift the heel to let that hip snap through.
Sharpen the mechanics, sharpen the power

• “Squish the bug” with the ball of your rear foot. 💥👊
