The Wayne Gretzky Sport Centre provides a 65 m pool, 25m pool, warm water pool, hydro therapy pool, waterslide, sauna, diving boards, fully equipped weight room, fitness centre, gymnasium, dryland training, 4 NHL size rinks (main arena seats 1,200), Lookout Lounge Restaurant, College Source for Sports Store, Wellness Centre, football field, room rentals and so much more! The Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre is offering a new Adapted Aquatics program for those ages 3 to 16. This program is an adapted swimming program for individuals with disabilities who have little to no swimming experience. Certified Aquatic Swim Instructors will provide supportive, specialized instruction in the water for up to two participants, per program. Lessons run Saturdays from October 17 to December 5, 2026. Each 30-minute session are offered at 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm or 1:00 pm and cost $64.82 per person. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at www.Brantford.ca/ACTIVEnet.

Turn your passion for fitness into a career with the canfitpro Fitness Instructor Specialist certification. This 27-hour course includes in-class training and theory, manual and canfitpro Professional Membership. Attendees are required to take and pass a practical and written exam to be certified.

➡️ Fall 2026 Course: Saturday November 7 and 14 and Sunday November 8 and 15 from 9 am to 4 pm (written exam: November 15 at 9 am)
➡️ Spring 2027 Course: Saturday March 6 and 13 and Sunday March 7 and 14 from 9 am to 4 pm (written exam: April 11 at 9 am)

Stay active this fall with our Strength Training for Active Aging program that begins next week at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. 💪🏽 👟

Level 1 introduces adults to strength training and how to exercise safely and effectively to build muscle, improve balance and increase mobility.

Level 2 focuses on advancing your strength and stability with more challenging exercises and techniques.

Classes take place on Tuesdays (level 1) or Thursdays (level 2) from 10:30 am to 11:30 am over 6 weeks and cost $80.14/person. Pre-registration is required online at www.Brantford.ca/ACTIVEnet.
