JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ayres Athletics + Aquatics is excited to announce that we are welcoming applications for the position of Swim Instructor.
As our swim program continues to grow we are looking to expand our swim instructor team. At Ayres Athletics + Aquatics we continue to be passionate and committed to providing families within our community the best service possible while teaching an important and essential life skill. Our focus is on swim skills, safety and fun.

The ideal candidate is dedicated to creating strong relationships with students and families, has an energetic and caring attitude at all times and is organized and reliable.

As an Ayres Athletics + Aquatics Swim Instructor, expectations include:
- Know all levels of our swim program and adhere to the skills when teaching
- Follow assigned lesson plans for each level
- Correctly teach skills and safety applicable to the individual levels
- Work cohesively with all team members
- Display good time management skills
- Attend all staff trainings and meetings

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Maintain the following certifications:

- Lifesaving Society - Swim Instructor
- Bronze Cross
- Standard First Aid and CPR C
* or some combination of the above

- Trainings must be attended and On-Boarding training must be completed
- Mentorship program is provided to employees by Nathan Ayres
- Opportunities to obtain required qualifications and certifications can be provided by Ayres Athletics + Aquatics

As we move into the winter months it can become more difficult to keep our youth active and obtaining the 60 minutes or more of moderate-to-vigorous activity per day recommended by the CDC.

I am pleased to announce that I have created a specific Youth Fitness and Activity Program emphasizing fun, coordination, confidence building, strength, endurance and teaching proper fundamentals of movement and living a healthy and active lifestyle.

This program is also a great way to prepare swimmers for the fitness/endurance evaluations needed for the Lifesaving Society swim program, Bronze Cross, Bronze Medallion and National Lifeguard certification programs.
