Last night's Brazilian Jiu-jitsu grading results: Jon Dunn was promoted from white belt, 2 stripes to Blue belt

For anyone interested, The Rumble Academy is back up and running out of D&D United Martial Arts at 174 Stanley St, Brantford, ON N3S 7S3 as of July 16, 2021.

Tuesday is gi class, 7:15pm to 9:15pm.

Thursday is no-gi class, 7:15pm to 9:15pm.

Registration with the OJA is mandatory for students. COVID policy in effect until OJA informs members of any change in protocol, but we are allowed to train as usual once screened and on the mats.

Rumble Academy students, have a great New Year's Eve celebration but remember to stay safe and call a cab/uber if you've been drinking. See you all Tuesday night for our first class of 2018, where we're going to start a complete curriculum review as we have a group ready for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stripes on their white belts.

If you have any friends that made a fitness goal one of their resolutions and they have any interest in trying a martial art, let them know we're always looking for new people to train with.

Had a fun class tonight, reviewed a series of attacks from the rear mount with seat belt control:

-basic position seat belt control (Gable grip, hidden grip)
-RNC modern variant and old school
-Kata ha jime (single wing choke)
-Kata ha jime to triangle choke
-Kata ha jime to bow and arrow choke
-Kata ha jime to arm bar

Will review all next Tuesday and add on some new stuff Mestre brought down this summer.
