So incredibly proud of my golden boys today. What an amazing clinic with Tamara Drunkenmoelle!

Day two! Tucker had a real big boy lesson. He’s been fantastic in his first clinic ❤️. Great rides for everyone and Tamara really brought out Brego’s best trot!

Today Brego studied the exam requirements for in hand work and Tucker shared the arena with a friend 🥰

For Brego today a little sideways and then a 10M volte followed by shoulder in 🥰

Tucker is beginning to learn flechi droit. First we explain in hand that he can walk with his front and back legs aligned while having his neck bent. Under saddle I just asked him for a little bend each way while standing still. Notice how he rebalances himself to stand square when I ask for the right bend.

A lovely explanation of the in hand work we do 😊

That time of year is approaching! Our annual W**e & Working Equitation event will be held 1-4pm on September 26th this year. Lots of fun obstacles to try, delicious snacks and a selection of local wines plus of course non alcoholic beverages as well. There are a few stalls available for $10 for the day and 8 acres of parking so you don’t have to be an expert at backing up your trailer 😉. $57/person with or without a horse.

To begin introducing the shoulder control that will help with steering we use a little counter bend to shift the horse’s balance in the direction we want to go. Here I practice in hand and then small easy shifts of balance under saddle. You can see that Tucker finds bending right and moving left more challenging.
