“Gold Feet” in Figure Skating refers to a skater who has achieved the highest level of proficiency in Skate Canada’s testing structure of assessments. The Gold Feet award is presented to a skater, or in this years case, two skaters who completed a Gold Assessment.

The recipient of this award Passed with Honours The Gold Skills Assessment on December 11, 2025. This achievement represents far more than just one assessment. It marks the completion of 11 levels of Skills Assessments, each one building in difficulty toward this moment
through years of perseverance,
determination, and commitment.

Gold Skills is not something earned
overnight. It takes countless early
mornings, long practices, repeated
attempts and the willingness to keep
pushing forwards when things get difficult.

Gold Skills show how the skater has
mastered stroking exercises, edges, turns, clusters and field move and step
sequences. This skater should be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. Reaching Gold Skills is a milestone that only a small number of skaters accomplish, and earning it with honours is truly outstanding.

Congratulations to Grace Coggan on
earning a Gold Feet Award in the Skills
Discipline.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙⛸️

Today we celebrate all of the amazing dads, grandfathers, and father figures who help make skating possible.

Thank you for the early mornings, the road trips, carrying the skate bags, cheering from the stands… and yes, tying countless pairs of skates.

We’re hoping there are fewer skates for you to tie next season as our skaters learn to lace up on their own—but we’ll always be grateful for everything you do to help them chase their dreams.

From everyone at Skate Brockville, thank you for your encouragement, patience, and unwavering support.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

“Gold Feet” in Figure Skating refers to a skater who has achieved the highest level of proficiency in Skate Canada’s testing structure of assessments. The Gold Feet award is presented to a skater, or in this year’s case, two skaters who completed a Gold Assessment.

The skater who is receiving this award
tonight passed her first Gold Assessment - The Gold Skills Assessment with Honours on December 29, 2025. This skater
achieved this milestone at only 12 years old, becoming the club’s youngest Gold Feet Recipient in the past four years. This is an accomplishment that reflects this skaters dedication, perseverance and an incredible amount of determination.

This skaters journey to Gold Feet Status has been nothing short of remarkable. The first Skills Assessment I evaluated for this skater was on January 31, 2023 and it was the Star 2 Skills Assessment. From that point forward, this skater set her sights high and never stopped pushing herself to improve and climb higher and higher in the Assessment Structure. In just under three years, this skater passed 10 levels of Skills Assessments, and passed all 11 levels of Skills in just under four years. This is an achievement that many skaters spend twice as many years (or more) working towards.

This skater has already achieved
something truly special at such a young age, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for her. Be very proud of yourself.

Please give a big round of applause to the Gold Feet Award Recipient in the Skills Discipline to Abby Aaron.
