“Oh how Ive missed you!!!”
Sometimes something small……like this little hug……can mean something a whole lot more!!!
Throwing it back to the first day back in the studio after we were shut down for what felt like forever!!!! This is the first thing this little lady did when she walked into the classroom!!! Hugged the wall and said, “Oh how I’ve missed you!”
I literally cried afterwards and then made her re hug the wall so I could capture the moment!!! She was so serious and in the moment, I don’t even think she realized I was watching!! Until she knew I was….. Then the whole class, including me, teared up and then we laughed. We laughed hard. This simple moment speaks volumes and is a memory I will cherish forever!!!
Looking at the picture still makes me sad, it still makes me tear up, but then it also makes me laugh, and then it makes me grateful for all of these amazing kids in my life. They seriously make my day so much better, even when they are a little moody!
This picture, this hug, makes me remember how brave and how strong these kids are. YES! The big ones and the little ones!! It reminds me of this huge milestone that we overcame…..TOGETHER! We are still working through some of the damage that was left behind, but we will get there cause I just know we will. We are so much closer today than we were yesterday!!!
