What an incredible weekend at the 2nd Annual Putts & Pockets showdown between Shooterville and JJQs Billiards & Lounge!
We kicked off the day at Mystic Golf Course, with points on the line from the very first tee. After a great round of golf, we headed back to this year's host, JJQs Billiards & Lounge. By the end of the golf portion, Shooterville held a 3-point lead going into the pool matches.
After a meal served by the staff at JJQs, it was time for the singles 9-ball. Shooterville came out strong and built a commanding lead, and for a moment it looked like it might be an easy win. But JJQs had other plans—they weren't settling for second place!
The Scotch doubles saw us give a big chunk of that lead back, setting up a dramatic finish in the 3-man Toledo matches. This was right in JJQs' wheelhouse, and they were on our heels all the way. After a full day of golf and nearly seven hours of pool, it all came down to the final trio match.
Brad came through in the clutch and carried us across the finish line for the victory!
We couldn't be happier with the outcome. It was an amazing day filled with great competition, new friendships, plenty of laughs, and memories we'll be talking about for a long time.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and competed. Special thanks to this year's host, Tim, and all of the staff at JJQs Billiards & Lounge for their hospitality and for putting up with us right until the very end. Also want to thank Jason and Charles who put in lots of time helping organise this event once again.
For now, the trophy is heading back to Shooterville for another year! 🏆
We'll be hosting next year's event, and we'll be looking forward to giving JJQs another shot at taking the title. We can't wait to do it all again!
