The truth is, even if something has typically worked well for your body in the past, it won’t necessarily always work well for you.

Our bodies adapt and change over time. Our metabolism speeds up and slows down, our muscle mass changes, stress levels change, workout intensity changes, and our routines just change. Even if it seems like things have been pretty much the same, chances are that these tiny and almost undetectable changes over time have adjusted what your body needs (even to maintain)!

More often than not, checking in with your food habits (⭐️making sure you’re eating enough), workout program, sleep schedule, and stress levels will solve the problem! It doesn’t have to be fancy or time consuming either, but it has to work for you (and not just on paper or on the good days, but actually in real life)!

This is your reminder to check in with yourself to make sure that the things you’re doing now, and nearly everyday are aligning with the outcome you want to achieve for your health (physical and mental) and fitness! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Breaking old habits is really hard. It means changing what you’re use to, creating new routines, and maybe even doing things you’ve never done before. But it also means you’re becoming more alive!🙌🏼

Discipline… deep desire for change… and that core need for wanting something more!

Going back to your roots for strength and reassurance will always bring you back to reality! It reminds you of the promises you made to yourself, and the non-negotiables you need in your life to make that a sure thing!

We all lose track, we all faulter, and we all get thrown off, but it’s the getting back that matters. It’s everything you promised to yourself that matters! Hold that close and see it through!

With over 10 years of experience as a personal trainer, she has earned certifications in several health courses and training modalities.

Jess attended McMaster University, where she completed her Bachelors of Science Degree, specializing in Human Anatomy. She created Bar None Fitness Studio in late 2015 with a mission of providing people with an intimate and private exercise space, primarily focusing on personalized training and health programs for EVERYONE!

Jess has worked hand in hand with physiotherapists and nutritionists throughout her career, and has vast knowledge in teaching people how to live a HEALTHY and HAPPY lifestyle pain- and guilt-free!
