I've used this machine consistently for several years. Multiple variations and manufacturers. You'd think the constraint of this machine would make it pretty straight forward with little room for error.

I can tell you years later I'm still working on this movement. As straight forward as these modalities may seem, I can tell you there is always room for improvement.

There is nothing more I can do in today's session, that will bring me closer to the version of myself 5 years from now. I can only give X amount of reps today; I will go home recover and be back for more reps.

Perfection will never exist. But the conscious effort you make to come back to your tool of choice will undoubtedly yield results.

Cardio is a tool for fat loss. Not your foundation.

There's 3 results from exercise that are going to elicit fat loss.
1. The gaining of lean muscle mass
2. The raising of your metabolic rate or metabolism
3. The actual act of burning calories

Resistance training is going to check all three of those boxes, where as cardio is solely the act of burning calories. If your goal is fat loss, then start building as much muscle as possible.

Consistency is going to be the number one driver of results. So why are you so consumed with the type of workout program or nutrition plan you have when you can't even establish consistency? Stop obsessing over minor details. Eliminate your constraints and show up.

A collapsed lung, being in and out of the hospital, and finally surgery...
What's the first thing I asked my surgeon? "How's this going to affect my ability to exercise". We all have different obstacles, and some of them you can't control. But for all of you complaining about exercise, just remember there are people who don't even have the ability to experience the endless positives that exercise and activity have to offer.
Remember fitness is a privilege, a reward and something to be infinitely grateful for. As I tell my clients all the time "you don't have to workout, you GET to workout. I feel sorry for those with the ability to exercise, who never see what their body is truly capable of. As for me, it's back to work 🙏
