What an incredible week for Katelyn Nethercott and her wonderful gelding Oz Royale at CEP Spring 2! They earned top placings in the Jr/Am 1.0m Jumpers all week, capped off by winning the Classic on Sunday and securing the division championship.

I’m especially happy for these two after Oz sustained a frustrating bone bruise injury that kept them out of competition all last year. It was a long winter of reconditioning and training, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see all that hard work pay off with such dominant performances at their first horse show in two years.

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for this pair… super exciting!! 💪💪🥇🏆

It was another successful week for Hailey Cho and Chip at CEP Spring 2 – The Motion Endeavours Cup, taking home the Reserve Championship in the Junior Hunters, as well as top placings in the Jump Canada and Junior Medals. Congrats, you two! 👏🏻👏🏻🏆🏅

Thank you to the OHJA for this recognition with the 2025 Leading Equitation Trainer of the Year award. I couldn’t have done it without the entire team at CDS, particularly our manager Megan Williams, our talented assistant trainer Riley Buitenhuis, and all of the other dedicated staff working tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Day 2 at Hailey and Chip Z’s first show of the season at the Caledon Equestrian Park Spring Series brought another great result 🐴✨
8th overall in the $3,000 Founders Cup Derby presented by Pommies and 1st in the Jr/Am overlay 🥇👏

Still working out a few kinks, but these two are sure to give the pros a run for their money in this class in the not too distant future 🔥💪🐎

On their very first day at the very first show of the year, Hailey absolutely knocked it out of the park, taking home the win in the Canadian Open Equitation after winning BOTH the gymnastics phase and the jumping phase, along with an impressive 2nd place finish in the CET Medal. 👏
What made it even more exciting was how polished and consistent the riding looked right out of the gate. Hailey and Chip Z came out looking like they were already in mid-season form, delivering confident, sophisticated, and polished rounds all day long.
A huge congratulations as well to the entire CDS team for all the hard work behind the scenes and during the off season - it takes a hard working village to make it look so effortless. We’re incredibly proud and excited for what’s ahead this season! 💙🐴🔥

Congratulations to Julia Carr and her exceptional horse, Chevalier De Charmeur, on earning 4th place in the 2025 Jump Canada Medal National Finals at the Royal Winter Fair! 🏅

Reaching the prestigious final four ride-off is a remarkable achievement in itself, and Julia and “Charming” rose to the occasion with composure and skill under the intense pressure this event is known for.

We couldn’t be prouder of this pair and all they have accomplished this season. The future looks very bright for this talented young rider, and I’m honoured to walk alongside her on her journey in this sport. ✨🐴

First time ever at the Royal — one of the most intimidating venues in the sport — and these two made it look like a walk in the park. Beyond proud of this new partnership for rising to the occasion! 💪🐴

This dynamic duo took the win in the Junior Medal and brought home the Reserve Championship in the Junior Hunters at the Canadian Open Nations Cup at Caledon Equestrian Park. They’re picking up serious momentum in both the Junior Hunters and Big Eq rings… and we’re just getting started! Proud coach moment. 👏🐎🇨🇦
