Vancouver GAA Championship - Week 2 - Fixtures

We have a busy schedule for this week, as we see the Hurling and Camogie begin their championship campaigns.

On Tuesday, the Intermediate and Junior kick off their seasons and on Wednesday, Junior Camogie returns with an epic opener between JP Ryan’s and Cu Chulainn. And last years’ Senior Champions JP Ryan’s will begin their title defence against Cu Chulainn, this will be a very exciting return to action.

Saturday we have a busy line up, as Van Isle travel over to kick off their junior campaign in a double header against St Finnians.

ISSC take on Fraser Valley in a senior double header in men’s and ladies, whilst St Finnians play Eire Og in the second double header of the day.

In between either side of the Ladies Senior games, our youth club Le Cheile will take to the field for some in-house action.

With the weather due to pick up again this week, this will be a cracking time for fixtures.

Best of luck to all the teams involved.

Please respect our officials.

Vancouver GAA Championship - Week 1 - Results

Week one started off with a bang. The sun was shining across both Wednesday and Thursdays games.

The 1st Men’s Senior match of the year was a repeat of the Men’s Senior final last year. This time St Finnians ensured they had their playbook ready to beat the defending champions by 2pts.

2pters were a huge introduction this year and teams were displaying great kicking.

The Senior ladies took place on Thursday. First game was a tight affair between Finnians and FVG, with St Finnians taking home the bragging rights.

Whilst in the second senior game, ISSC claimed the pts against Eire Og.

Best of luck to all in the next round.

Thank you to the officials, these games wouldn’t go ahead without you. 👏🏼

Spring League - Week 6 - Results

This was the final week of the league round fixtures before clubs and teams go into their respective semi finals.

On Wednesday night, St Finnians took home a good win against Eire Og 1, however it wasn’t all negative as Eire Og 2 secured a great win over ISSC, essentially booking themselves into a semi final. Whilst ISSC failed to qualify.

In the Ladies, Friday night was a big night as teams were battling out for spots in the semi finals.

St Finnians booked their senior semi final spot with a huge win over Eire Og. And Fraser Valley 2 also booked a spot in the senior semi final. Whilst ISSC ladies teams, both not played last week, meet other each other on April 29, in the other senior semi final.

Thank you to our referees and officials, these games would not happen without you 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Spring League - Week 4 - Results

St Finnians started off the short week of games with a huge win over Fraser Valley. Whilst the second game was an end to end cracker between ISSC and Fraser Valley. Ending with a win for Fraser by 2pts.

The following night, we saw another dominating performance by St Finnians as the my beat Eire Og. But that didn’t dampen the mood in the Eire Og camp as they took away a huge win from Fraser Valley.

Over to the ladies, St Finnians sealed a huge win against Fraser Valley whilst ISSC remained strong and was able to hold off Fraser Valley, taking the win.

On Thursday, favours changed for Fraser as they beat St Finnian’s and in the second game, Eire Og battled ISSC in a tighter game, but ISSC came away with the victory.

As always, thank you to the referees, without them, these games would not be possible. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽
