This Ocean Quest exclusive program prepares you with the essential techniques to pe*****te wrecks beyond the light zone along with managing emergency procedures and protocols. The program also integrates technical dive planning and stage bottle use.

Be prepared for lots of black out mask drills, lots of silt, lots of bottles and lots of hard work! We will be sure to mix a little bit of fun as well!

This course is only suitable for experienced technical divers with solid skills!

Foundations of Diving Course Specialty - complete! Congratulations to Jake, Michael & Mladen!

Developed by Ocean Quest, the PADI Foundations of Diving Distinctive Specialty program focuses on specific theory and practical work to assist students in improving their knowledge, skills and ability – the Fundamentals of Diving.

The program will develop fundamental diving skills such as buoyancy, trim, propulsion and awareness as well as cover important theory topics including equipment configuration, communication, team work, dive planning and handling diving emergencies.

These skills are important to all divers, but will strongly benefit any divers interested in pursuing activities such as underwater photography, deep diving, wreck diving and technical diving.

Developed by Ocean Quest - the PADI Wreck Pe*******on Distinctive Specialty Course is the only Wreck Course that focuses on the specific skills and knowledge to properly dive inside the overhead Wreck environment.

Certification will allow you to pe*****te wreck within recreational limits are defined as 130 linear ft / 40 metres from the surface and within the natural light zone of the entrance. The PADI Wreck Specialty Diver Course does not meet these requirements.

PADI Self Diver Course this past weekend !!

What is the Self Reliant Diver Course you ask? This course is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge to handle a variety of underwater problems independently. Although some may promote this as a “solo diving” course, the skills you learn in the PADI Self Reliant Specialty program can be applied to all of your dives with or without a buddy.

In many ways, the PADI Self Reliant Diver Specialty course is a cross over course from recreational to technical diving as there are a lot of technical diving elements in the program. Ocean Quest has tremendous experience with both styles of diving and therefore incorporate many of the technical elements following the same protocols that would be used by experienced technical divers.

Basic Course Objectives:

• The value and application of the buddy system

• The philosophy of, and motivation for, diving without a partner

• Potential risks of diving alone, and how to manage those risks

• The value of equipment redundancy and what back-up equipment is needed

• Dive planning and gas management

They wrapped it up with an unforgettable night dive 🌙—curious seals even used their lights to hunt, making for a truly wild and memorable experience.
